* Gazan civilians, possibly as many as 50, were killed when thousands simultaneously attacked and began looting 30 incoming aid trucks and were trampled. Armed members of the crowd began shooting, at which point the (Egyptian) truck drivers drove through the crowd to escape, injuring additional civilians. The trucks made it a mile or two, and were then stopped by more Gaza gunmen, and the vehicles were then stolen. Hamas is claiming it as a massacre (and the Arab press is claiming 800 dead and injured, though video evidence says otherwise). Several dozen Gazans then rushed towards the Israeli military checkpoint. Although some of the trucks were able to continue further north, armed men opened fire at the convoy and looted it.
